Speaking Guidelin CrimePART1

Part 1

  1. What do you think the most common crime in your country is?

candidate : I deem that drug law violations account for the most common type of criminal offense in our nation. Drug‐defined crimes, such as the possession, use, or sale of controlled substances, violate drug laws. Law breaking is carried out by illegal drug users to get money to buy more substances or outlawry committed by persons under the influence of drugs. There is also an organized criminal activities in our homeland such as money laundering and political corruption, in support of the drug trade.

  1. Is your country a safe country?

candidate : Definitely, yes. Australia is a very secure homeland. Crime rates are quite low, and although a few people can become victims of lawlessness, there is still the danger of petty theft which is mostly pickpockets. In huge cities, ordinary precautions are taken for instance, do not walk alone in the park at night, don’t leave your bike, cellphone or camera unattended, and don’t put your wallet in your pocket. In this manner, you will most likely not be confronted with any outlawries.

  1. Have you ever seen a crime?

candidate : I have never witnessed any wrongdoings happening in front of my eyes. But there have been videos and newspapers that I have gone through.

  1. Do you think criminals can change?

candidate : Personally, I think yes. And even if somebody is a lawbreaker , it doesn’t necessarily mean that he/she is a wicked person. Everybody is driven to do what he/she does for his/her own reasons. For instance, I have a neighbor who is always getting in trouble with the law. He’s been convicted of breaking and entering, theft, and drug possession, just to name a few things. But the point is, he’s the nicest guy you’ll ever meet. He has never hurt a fly, he has an incredibly loving family, and he’s always there for you when you need someone to talk to or something. It’s not like he’s a bad guy at all, but he made a lot of bad decisions when he was younger and now they just keep following him around. So in the end, I don’t even think that all criminals are necessarily despicable people, and I do believe that they can change if they have real desires to do so.

  1. What is the best way for police to keep neighborhoods safe?

candidate : In my point of view, there should be programs which involve the interaction of police with members of the communities. In most cases, face-to-face dealing is vital to the success of this program. Neighborhood Watch is one of the oldest and most effective crime prevention programs still in existence. By organizing and bringing together the citizens living in a neighborhood to work together and report suspicious behavior to the police, the opportunities for a potential criminal to commit a crime are greatly reduced.
